Who you are dealing with

This page is operated by Rauno Märtsoo, trading as PiratesEye, a sole trader at Kadakaranna tn 6-9, Neeme küla, 74226 Jõelähtme vald, Harju maakond, Estonia (operating as a sole trader). Card payments are processed by Stripe; I never see or store your card details.

Signing on is free

The Stowaway rank costs nothing and always will. It needs an email address, gives you a member number and a place on the manifest, and asks for no card. You can stay there indefinitely. Nothing below applies to you unless you choose to pay.

What you are paying for

Voluntary support for an independent creator. Support payments ship nothing to you. One-off payments are exactly that. Monthly and yearly support renews automatically until you cancel.

There is one exception, covered separately below: the stores, which sell real objects that arrive in the post.

Where a tier lists extras — early access, a monthly letter, a vote on what happens next — I intend to deliver them and I will tell you plainly if I cannot. They are a thank-you, not a contract for services, and the work itself may change: the machines, the country and the format are all subject to whatever breaks next.

Prices and currency

The page picks a currency from where you appear to be, and the amount shown in that currency is the amount actually charged — it is a price set in that currency, not a live conversion of another one. If your card is held in a different currency, your bank decides the final amount and may add its own conversion fee.

Cancelling

Cancel any time from the billing page linked in the footer. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. No notice period, no email to me required, no retention questionnaire.

Your member number

The number on your plate is yours permanently and is never reassigned to anyone else, even if you stop paying or unsubscribe. It carries no monetary value and cannot be transferred or sold. If you sign on free and pay later using the same email address, you keep your original number rather than being issued a second.

The plate itself is digital. It is drawn on this site to look like stamped metal, but no physical plate is manufactured and nothing is posted to you — screenshot it if you want to keep it.

The manifest

Members appear on the public manifest by default, showing a first name, a surname initial, a nearest town, a member number and a rank. There is a checkbox at signup to stay off it, and you can ask to be removed at any time. See the privacy page for the detail.

The stores

Shirts, hoodies, mugs and stickers are ordinary goods sold by Rauno Märtsoo, not donations wearing a costume. Buying one supports nothing in particular and you should buy it because you want the object.

Prices include VAT. The price you see is the price you pay; tax is already inside it and is not added at the end. Postage is shown separately before you pay and depends on where it is going.

Garments and mugs are printed to order by a printer and posted by them. Stickers are posted by me from Estonia. An order containing both arrives as two parcels on two different days, from two different countries, and is charged two lots of postage — that is said on the basket before you pay, not discovered afterwards.

Outside the EU and the UK, your country may charge import duty or tax on arrival. That is yours to pay and I cannot predict or refund it. I do not undervalue parcels or mark them as gifts.

Delivery estimates are estimates. Nothing here is a guaranteed delivery date, and I do not promise a parcel will arrive by a particular occasion. Your right to change your mind within 14 days, and your rights over faulty goods, are on the refunds page and are not affected by anything in these terms.

Stock is finite and colours shift between print runs. If I cannot fulfil an order I refund it in full and tell you why.

Things I do not promise

• That any particular video, build or trip will happen.
• That the page will be available without interruption.
• That a perk will survive forever in its current form.

Age

You must be 18 or older, and using your own payment method, to pay through this page.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of Estonia. Nothing here removes consumer rights you have by law where you live.

Changes

If these terms change materially, active supporters are told before the next payment is taken.
